We are the guardians of the project budget and schedule, serving as an extension of your team and providing the technical, contractual, and administrative expertise to ensure successful outcomes. We provide leadership to the design and construction professionals, and foster high performance teams that collaborate, communicate, and deliver on the project regardless of project size or complexity.

Capital Projects’ small business structure ensures that either Erin, Chris and/or Clay will be directly involved in each project. Partner level engagement on every project which is what sets Capital Projects apart from our competition where their experience rests within the senior leadership of the company but junior level team members are assigned to the projects.

    Chris has 40 years of global construction experience in a variety of fields including heavy civil, infrastructure and buildings. Before moving into the Owner’s Representative field, Chris worked as a Construction Executive for Mortenson Construction and completed many design-build projects as the project leader. His positive attitude bring cohesion to the teams he works with.

    Chris provided essential Owner’s Representative leadership and management team support to the complex Denver Art Museum’s $150M renovation of their Gio Ponti building and new construction of the Welcome Center. He understands the complexity of working with multiple stakeholders with varying priorities as well as navigating multiple funding sources. He became a trusted extension of the DAM’s team and integrated himself with the day-to- day operations to ensure the goals of the museum were met. As an Owner’s Rep, Chris has also completed medical office buildings, an Ambulatory Surgery Center and a conventional office building. Chris is currently engaged on infrastructure projects, the City Gate I apartment building, the US Air Force Academy’s new Visitor Center project and the Colorado Springs City Auditorium renovation project.

    Chris understands the complexity of working with multiple stakeholders on complex projects and, as a trusted member of the Owner’s team, brings his projects to a successful conclusion.

    Erin brings 25 years of diverse industry experience in managing construction projects from design through occupancy and beyond. Erin’s first 16 years in the industry include project management roles at large general contractors in the Denver, Milwaukee and Chicago markets where her resume of project includes healthcare, laboratory, high rise residential, parking, and manufacturing facilities. Erin has provided owner representation on complex healthcare and municipal projects including UCHealth’s capital expansion program, which included 5 projects with a program value exceeding $1 billion and led the contractor selection process and GMP development on 3 additional UCHealth projects approaching $420 million. She also provided services for the $150M renovation of the Denver Art Museum’s North Building, where she led the selection process for the design and construction teams, established and monitored the project budget and schedule, and coordinated with local city agencies. Erin is currently providing design phase leadership for the Milwaukee Future Museum project.

    Erin strives to bring all resources to the table for her clients. Her wide range of experience assists her in the day-to-day management of every project she works on. Erin’s insight, attention to detail, and diligence, consistently benefit her clients. Her collaborative nature and dedication to teamwork sets the tone for all parties to come together to make each project successful.

    A native of Wisconsin, Erin earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Construction Management and Architectural Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering. She is an Associate Design-Build Professional® and LEED AP.

    Clay is a Real Estate and Construction professional with nearly 40 years of construction project management experience. As a former Market Director and Director of Preconstruction/Design Phase Management at Mortenson, Clay was responsible for winning and building $125M in corporate and industrial projects annually. He provided direct leadership on projects valued over $1B for customers such as the US Army Corp of Engineers, Woodward, CoorsTek, Vestas and Lockheed Martin. Clay was a Colorado Springs Urban Renewal Authority Commissioner from 2006 to 2009 and was Public Director for the AIA Colorado South Chapter in 2007 and 2008.

    Clay is a passionate advocate for his Clients and manages project risk through proactive engagement during the design and construction phases of the project. Clay provides Partnering Facilitation and High Performance Team Building to Clients such as the US Army Corps of Engineers, The City of Colorado Springs and his former employer Mortenson. Clay brings this collaboration and high performance expertise to every project, assisting the entire team in successful project completion.
